In addition to performing, the Left Coast Brass has been deeply committed to educating and inspiring music students of all ages. The members of the LCB have years of experience educating students from the elementary to university level, as well as teaching sessions at the WMEA Music Conference, and the Northwest NAfME Music Conference. Our goal is to demonstrate how playing in a chamber ensemble can benefit both the individual musician as well as their school band. We want to teach students that chamber music is an easy way to have fun and enrich their lives playing music. The members of LCB are continuously providing concerts and master classes for students at middle schools, high schools, and universities throughout the Pacific Northwest and Japan.
* Have us out for a day, or a number of days, where we perform for your students and work with them in sectionals or one on one.
* Preparing your students for solo and ensemble? We can work with your chamber ensembles teaching them how to rehearse efficiently and effectively, as well as tips on how to be a successful ensemble.
* Let us inspire your elementary students and get them excited about joining band. Have us out for instrument demonstrations and a "Brass Petting Zoo" where students get to try out instruments!
* Teachers, bring us out to your in-service day and we can give a class for
the instrumental educators in your district on common playing problems in students, and how to fix them on each brass instrument.
